You're willing to barter?

Yes, you may be getting your budding business off the ground and needed a logo yesterday,
or you have a personal passion project without a budget. We are willing to consider exchanging our services for other valuable goods and services. Examples include local farms with a CSA share-style relationship for meat, produce, eggs, or milk; local mercantile shops or services with gift cards; access to family health or lifestyle memberships and services...we welcome you to suggest a creative barter deal, or even a split between monetary trade and barter exchange! We like "living local". All barter exchanges are accurately reported to the IRS.

What is the investment for your services?

The total investment for our services varies greatly by project due to the custom nature of our work.

Please inquire with your specific project details for a more accurate investment estimation here.

All projects are quoted with an upfront transparent flat-fee, there are no hourly rates. Additional costs will only arise in cases of requested additional revision rounds, strenuous unforeseen surface preparation on-site work (murals), etc. In these cases, an additional cost will be quoted prior to the service being performed.

(For those in financial need, please see following FAQ regarding a barter option.)

Do you teach?

Yes, we have taught art concepts, techniques, and classes working with all ages from 6 months to 100 years. We enjoy teaching one-off art classes, ongoing class sessions, and workshop demonstrations. We are happy to work one-on-one or in group settings. We have taught at retirement communities, county fairs, public schools, churches, art spaces, private homes, etc. Art classes are a fun activity for parties, events, and organizations. If you are looking for something unique, we are also passionate about teaching on creative entrepreneurship and art-related business. Please inquire here for teaching and speaking demonstrations.

Can you paint my photo?

In some cases, yes. Depending on the photo, we will inquire about the copyrights to the photo. We are willing to paint portraits of people, wedding photos, architecture, etc. We do not paint pet portraits, exclusive landscapes (landscapes can be a background of other subject matter), or images which do not align with our artistic or moral integrity.
Please inquire about your specific photo.

Are there any artistic mediums you do not work with?

We are well versed in a majority of artistic mediums, but we have limited working experience in oil painting, pen ink, and marker.
We recommend seeking out another artist for oil paintings, complex ink drawings, and marker.

What file types will I receive for my logo?

Here is a cheat sheet we offer clients for clarity on file types they receive and how to best utilize them.

How long will it take to design my logo?

Generally our logo design process takes 6-8 weeks accounting for 3 revision rounds.
In some cases we can do a quicker turnaround for additional investment.

What if I live far away?

We are based in Lake City, Minnesota (southeast).

For client projects like logo design, we have facilitated complete client design processes over Zoom meetings with great success.

For on-site projects like mural installations, we are potentially willing to travel to you (travel and lodging fees will be estimated accordingly).

Are your watercolor illustrations outlined in pen or ink?

No, we do not use ink or pen on our watercolor illustrations. Our watercolor illustrations are drafted in pencil and painted exclusively with watercolor paint thereafter. The illustrations appear to be outlined in ink by carefully outlining the illustrations with a fine-tipped angled brush and Payne's Grey watercolor paint to create a defining line against our signature white negative space background.

Can I purchase your artwork?

Yes, you can purchase original watercolor illustrations as available with a custom framing option, or we offer art prints on 100% cotton rag paper and printed greeting cards.

Will you consign or wholesale with my shop?

Yes, we offer consignment and wholesale options for shops to stock our illustrations as art prints and greeting cards.
If you have another product in mind you'd like to sell with our artwork printed on the product, we can collaborate.

Can I license your designs onto my products?

Yes, we can structure a royalty agreement for existing designs or a contract for custom design work onto your product.
